Sardinia + Corsica Bike Tour

SARDINIA - self guided

Sardinia and Corsica: between two islands

Welcome to Sardinia and Corsica: these islands have always been a popular getaway, not only for their beautiful beaches, but also for its remote nature and landscape: its waters rival those of the Caribbean!

Scantily populated with breathtaking views all around, urge you to explore the open roads:  less residents equals fewer cars – hence traffic free roads await you.

The cultures of the two islands are many and varied. Both islands have been very independent from their respective mainland (France for Corsica, and Italy for Sardinia). They have developed their own languages, cuisines, architecture and cultural identities, shaped by the great empires that have attempted to rule the Mediterranean over the last 3000 years. Sardinia is the geologically most ancient landmass of Europe. In Sardinia from about 1500 BC onwards, villages were built around round tower-fortresses called Nuraghi.

Highlight moments

  • Costa Smeralda, Jet-Set Capital
  • Dinner at the best restaurants of Sardinia and Corsica
  • The Magnificent Corsican West Coast
  • Amazing sandy Beaches

There are many excavations of the nuraghic civilization that can be visited on the island. It is not surprising that a land as old as Sardinia was searched for minerals and coal from the earliest times of human civilization.

Interesting 18th and 19th century mine sites can be visited on our tour — yet another point of difference on this already diverse cycling experience. History and mystery combined with breathtaking and beautiful natural environment to create a truly special place. Have we mentioned the beaches? I guess you’ll just have to come and see them for yourself!
