DAY 1

welcome La Morra

Welcome to Piedmont. After our rendez vous in Torino Train Station transfer to La Morra
Cappella del barolo: Just few km from La Morra there is and incredible little colored church unique of its kind in Italy.
the Chapel of Barolo, Cappella del Brunate or Chapel of the Madonna Delle Grazie, was built in 1914, next to an existing votive chapel and never consacrate.

DAY 2

Langhe cycling

Barolo, Monforte D’Alba, Castello di Serralunga

In the local dialect, the term Langa refers to the gentle hills which make up the landscape of this area of Piedmont.
In the Middle ages, Castles, churches and Abbeys were built in the Langhe, and during the following centuries, noble villas, palaces, towns and cottages.
For anyone who loves wine, a trip to the town of Barolo is something of a pilgrimage. Wander down through the town’s quiet, cobbled streets until you reach the castle and Monforte d’Alba, medieval town built into the hillside with an intricate network of tiny steep streets leading up to an ancient bell tower with lovely views at the top.

DAY 3

Alba the truffle capital

Today from La Morra you will reach villa d’Amelia just outside the village of Benevello crossing again Langhe countryside and many villages
From La Morra downhill an first village you see is Grinzane Cavour the castle dominates the ancient village
Road go up and you have a very small little village with castle – Sinio, the big uphill of the day wait for you – then ride up and down for 5 km and start you downhill to Montelupo and Diano d’Alba.
stop in ALBA for lunch and explore the capital of white truffle

Distance 55 km elevation gain+1190 m / elevation loss -1089 m

DAY 4

Barbaresco day

Barbaresco: Treiso, Barbaresco, Neive, Mango, Donna di Langa
You will explore the other famous wine region producing Barbaresco, cousin of Barolo.
Starting form you accommodation you have 2 km gentle uphill and soon a nice downhill – after 9 km you get in Treiso Where there are the highest vineyards in the area and some prime truffle –hunting reserve
Keep downhill until the charming village of Barbaresco, name derives from the Latin word “barbarica silver” which means forest of barbarians

Distance 50 km | elevation gain 994 m; elevation loss 992 m

DAY 5

Alta Langa & Vicoforte

Benevello to Vicoforte passing through Alta Langa Bossolasco e Murazzano. 
Leave from hotel and after 17 km very gentle up and down you get to Bossolasco – is an amazing historic center
Set in a wonderful panoramic place, it’s the official site of the Mountain Community. The historical center of the town has been decorated with thousands of roses, and in summer all balconies are enriched with flowers.

Situated in the heart of the Langhe the Corte Gondina Hotel offers its guests a warm and friendly welcome, careful restoration work has transformed a historic family residence into an elegant, refined and welcoming hotel in the centre of La Morra.
