Here a proposal for a great day ride on gravel roads – one of the beautiful strade bianche we have in Siena province.
Is a combination with secondary paved road and dirt road to face with ciclocross bikes – more known as Gravel – or Trekking E-bikes. You will choose between Scott Gravel Addict 20 Or Scott E-SUB Cross 10
Start: Pienza End: Castiglion del bosco: you deserved a wine tour!
Departure is in Pienza town : bike fitting and ready to go!
enjoy the first 6 km downhill on paved road and after few km of rolling you will turn into the unpaved road: lack of traffic and breath-taking views wait for you! You will pass a very little borgo: Lucignano d’asso, the coffe break. You are on the Eroica and Strade Bianche permanent itinerary now. after a very short part on paved enter again in a glorious section of the vintage race: Pieve a Salti.
Take your time and enjoy – next village is Buonconvento, few minutes for rest and back in the saddle – ready to get to final destination the acclaimed winery Castiglion del bosco – also a luxury hotel.

In 2003 Massimo Ferragamo acquired Castiglion del Bosco and initiated restoration of the estate’s historic sites – renovation of the Borgo and villas, modernization of the facilities, and innovating the winemaking and cellars.
Castiglion del Bosco is recognized for its top-tier winery hospitality, named as one of the top ten wineries to visit in Tuscany.
