The tour starts in Bastia, the second largest town, and took to the northern part of the island, Known as Haute-Corse – we focus on north and west coastline which are more jagged, wild and wondrous !

This morning, you will go North, following the coastline on the east of Cap Corse to reach a fisherman’s village at the top of the peninsula. You will pass next to beautiful genoese towers, cross vineyards and reach the Maccinaggio port. Now you will take the inland direction and nice climb will await for you to reach the Mattei windmill before enjoying a beautiful descent to Centuri, and Centuri port, west side of Cape Corsica. Centuri is renowned for being the first lobsters’ fishing port in France, you can taste in one of the many little restaurant in the marina. After lunch option to ride reach the wonderful Golfe de St-Florent or shuttle in the van

The loop scheduled is around the Nebbiu’s villages, Murato, santo Pietro di Tenda. Enjoy your time in Saint-Florent, amazing Caribbean beaches in the Agriates desert, or spend the afternoon in the ancient Roman town of St Florent it-self, the “St-Tropez” of Corsica: its little harbour and its white sand beach. This is a small local sea resort from where you can also board a shuttle to one of the most beautiful beach of the island, Saleccia.
Cycle from Saint Florent to Ile Rousse.

This stony landscape that was once rich with wheat fields is unlike any area on the island and offers some beautiful panoramas. An amazing ride across a protected route with stunning landscapes. Following the sea shore in a distance and amid the Corsican scrub, the road undulates in a luxurious granitic and green environment, surprising knowing that you are supposed to be in a desert! Once at the Vezzu pass, you will get beautiful views on the mountains.
A great descent will follow toward the Balagne area where different roads’ options are proposed to you.
Arriving in Ile Rousse, you will hopefully be able to enjoy a drink looking at the sunset over the rocky Island of Ile Rousse explaining the name of the little town
Cycle from Ile Rousse to Calvi.

You will leave Ile Rousse and the major road to get inland and reach some of the most beautiful villages in Corsica: Pigna, Sant Antonino, Lumio. The many small villages are perched on the slopes and often not accessible by car – cycling paradise! today fantastic local food in amazing places and restaurants. The artisans’ road will then welcome you before the descent to Calvi, a thriving little town stretched along its bay under the Citadel and Monte cinto, it was once a Genoese stronghold. Calvi is the most cosmopolitan city in Corsica and became world famous as a cycling destination when it hosted the arrival of the second stage of the 2013 Tour de France. It’s blessed with a beautiful winding coastline, pristine white sand beaches and red granite rocks. The bay of Calvi is probably the jewel in this crown

You should arrive to your sixth day enough trained and keen to face the outstanding bike ride waiting for you today.
The first part is inland to reach the coast near Galeria then head north on the coastal road. This is the most remote area on the island. Giant ochre boulders stand sentry by the route, few settlement punctuate the route. Argentella, once base for silver mine, then a crescent of pebble beach sloping in clear water at bay Crovani, olive trees and eucalypts between Capo di a Morsetta and Capo Cavallo. Few km before Calvi you will have La Revellata peninsula on your left -a lighthouse stands at the end of this vast 300ha promontory – a steep road on your right to Notre Dame de la Serra famous for the pink granite boulders. We have to be in Calvi in time for the Farewell dinner at our favorite restaurant Aux Bons Amis in Calvi
