Bike tour in Valnerina: based in Arrone we reach and lake of Piediluco, Sibillini, Terminillo, Norcia, Assisi and Bolsena lake.
The delightful peaceful small lake Piediluco is surrounded by beech-covered hills – and the village is located on the side of the lake, it is famous for its tradinally colorful houses .
Not far the must to visit is the Marmore Falls cascate delle Marmore a waterfall that was engineered by Man in the year 290 BC and channel the waters of the Velino into the River Nera.
Valnerina take the name from the River- we were in the lower section of the valley, Arrone and Ferentillo – in the main picture you can see the Abbey of San Pietro in Valle very intersting medieval site – now part of it is an hotel.
Sibillini mountain day : from Valnerina until Visso a long climb to reach Casteluccio di Norcia – form its mountain top position affords an incredible view of the entire plateau stretching out below.
